Our Acrylic In Engineering & The Medical Industry
These medical valve blocks have been machined from clear acrylic blocks.
The image below shows the crash testing of a Lamborghini at MIRA in Warwickshire. We supplied them with a large clear acrylic block in order that vehicle impacts could be filmed and recorded from underneath the vehicles.
The image above right shows a valve constructed from clear acrylic.

Case Studies
Last month we helped one of our customers with a project to build a submarine sphere.
Our customer had cast the acrylic sphere in two halves but asked us to structurally bond the two halves together.
As part of a Sheffield City refurbishment scheme, we were asked to structurally bond eight massive acrylic beams 5400mm long and 150mm thick, in the town hall square.
